After a relatively quiet H1 2019, the Paris region gained momentum in H2 2019 (+1% y-o-y), thanks to an excellent Q3 2019 and the >5,000 sqm segment's improved performance. In 2019, take-up totalled 2.3 million sqm, a decrease of 10% compared with the exceptional performance in 2018. On the other hand, take-up volume remains in line with the 10-year average, indicative of a relatively favourable economic context. The French economy's resilience, job and business growth, and tech companies' capital raising have stimulated office take-up in the Paris region. In 2019, some office transactions were motivated by corporate expansion and the rise of new companies.
